Well. You've all been waiting for it, so here it is: Meet My Friend Wolseley. My Friend Wolseley is based upon my childhood memories, from our small neighborhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In the comic strip, each of the characters actually existed and many of the stories and plots took place. Twice a week, a new strip will flood the front page of the website!☺

I have been trying to decide what to say to conclude The Daily Fish. What fish would I paint? Would I write a long paragraph about my experiences this year? As of yesterday, I was totally stuck for ideas. I realized though, that this year was not about the fish at all. For me, 2009 was about two things. Commitment and encouragement. This year wouldn't have been possible without the endless comments from all of my followers. There were MANY days when I would be at the end of my creative rope, ready to give up and just quit. The comments that you all left though, cheered me up and kept me on track. Thank you everyone, for everything. You will all meet my 2010 idea tomorrow!

Hi Everyone, I will be posting today's fish and tomorrow's A.S.A.P..I am taking part in ZOOM Film Contest...Its pretty insane. I have a group of 7 or 8 people, and we were given a theme and an object yesterday at 5:00pm...between then and Sunday at 5:30pm we have to come up with a story, film it, edit it and hand it over to the judges.. It sounds easy.but its not:)

I have painted this guy before...but he is my favorite fish:) In one year, I have learned so much about both painting and fish. Who knew that I would become a "fish boy" as my sister calls me. I am looking forward to next year's blog, but I am also wanting to hold onto The Daily Fish and keep on going with it. I've got big plans for next year though..November 11th will begin the countdown to The Last 50 Fish, I am going to make the last couple months of fish the best of my collection. - Ziggy

A whale of a mural designed by an Edmonton company for the Vancouver Winter Olympics will be officially unveiled Thursday in Edmonton, and none of the artists who worked on it knew what the final product would be.

During creation, "we like to keep the main image a secret, and we don't tell anybody," said Lewis Lavoie, founder of Mural Mosaic, the company behind the work of art.

So here is how this weeks contest is going to go. Everyday I will post a painting of a fish. There won't be a name for the fish. The first person that guesses the type of fish and posts it as a comment, will win the painting! The first fish will be a fairly easy guess..but the guesses will get harder and harder!
